Welcome to my blog where I like to talk about beauty products and how they help me stay happy and healthy in spite of a difficult neurological condition. This post will be a large series of empties and mini reviews of them. I used my parent's garden complete with antique gardening equipment for the backdrop of my photos.
I have recently switched to Dailies. When I recently went to the optometrist, I decided to switch to daily wear lenses. I only wear my contacts about 3-4 times a week; therefore, daily wear lenses are actually cheaper than two week disposable lenses. I love wearing fresh lenses every time.
Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo - TRASH
If you are a regular reader then you would know Clean Freak was included in a recent Influenser VoxBox. I use this as a dry shampoo and to add texture to my fine, limp hair. I like this dry shampoo but it doesn't do anything that my Suave Keratin dry shampoo doesn't do. So I can't see paying twice as much for dry shampoo.
Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smooth & Shine Serum - STASH
Did I mention that I really like the Suave Keratin line; because I really do. For an inexpensive line I am really impressed with the way it performs. I have yet to try the shampoo and conditioner but I really love this serum. Every time I wash my hair I work this serum through my hair.
Redkin Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist - TRASH
I received this sample quite some time ago and finally made myself use it. It wasn't the greatest shine spray for my hair and I did not care for the smell. This product just wasn't right for me.
C. O. Bigelow Lemon & Black Cherry Lip Balm - TRASH
I found this lip balm to be a little thin and it wears off too easily. Besides I believe it was limited edition and isn't available any longer. The Lemon Lip Balm is still available those that enjoy Baby Lips would probably enjoy this. I have found the texture to be quite similar. These smell and taste fantastic. So if you wished Baby Lips smelled or tasted better then try this!
EOS Lip Balm in Lemon - STASH
I always keep an EOS on my makeup table. Every morning when I set down after cleaning my face. I put a moisturizer on my face and put this moisturizer on my lips. I love the way this lip balm feels and lipstick wears better on smooth lips. Currently, I am using Strawberry Sorbet but would repurchase Lemon again in the future.
La Fresh Oil Free Face Cleanser - TRASH
I received these in an Ipsy bag and I just didn't care for the way they felt on my face. I used them for wiping swatches off my hands because we all know that bloggers like to swatch things. These towelettes worked very well for cleaning swatches!
Simple Radiance Cleansing Wipes - STASH
These are by far my favorite makeup removing wipes. The towelette is soft and they have ample makeup removing solution on them. They do a great job at removing my makeup before I wash my face in the evening.
CVS Cleansing and Makeup Remover Moist Towelettes - STASH
While the Simple wipes are my holy grail wipes, I will continue to purchase these as well. I find that I grab for these wipes to clean my fingers off after I apply lotion or BB cream as they are less expensive than the Simple wipes. Plus if a product leaks or just gets messy I will clean it up with these.
Derma-e Microdermabrasion Scrub - STASH
I love this scrub. It smells lemony fresh, has tons of little scrubby beads and leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. This is easily my favorite find in my Ipsy bag. The only reason I haven't run out to repurchase this one is because I have few others to use up first.
Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream - STASH
This Gel Cream is so moisturizing and refreshing. I love the way this cream leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. It feels light and soaks in quickly which is why it's my go to moisturizer under my makeup. I have gone through several jars of this and will continue to use it.
Simple Eye Makeup Remover - STASH
This is my go to eye makeup remover. After I use the Simple wipes I put a bit of this on the wipe and remove any remaining eye makeup. It doesn't burn, sting or leave an oily film. It works well and it's inexpensive. What more could a girl want?
Olay Shine Shine Go Away Shine Minimizing Cleanser - STASH
This came with a little cleanser gadget that I was quite curious about. While I really enjoy the cleanser gadget, I didn't care for this cleanser. I have dry skin so that's probably the biggest reason I didn't care for this cleanser. The little gadget however has taken up permanent resident in my shower and I use it every time I shower or bathe.
Neutrogena Agelss Restoratives Skin Renewal Cream for Eyes - TRASH
I didn't notice that my eyes were particularly moisturized with this cream. I didn't notice any fewer wrinkles. Why use a product if you can't tell if it's working or not?
Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray - TRASH
I've had this sample for quite some time, but was slow in using it as I don't have particularly oily skin. It works well as a setting spray but I just don't need the oil control. I am pleased to have finished it up!
Laura Geller Balance n Brighten - STASH
This is an amazing powder foundation. This is the perfect powder to top a BB cream with as it provides coverage without adding weight. I love this powder and am not really sure why I haven't repurchased.
CoverGril Lash Blast Fusion - TRASH
While I really enjoyed this mascara and found it worked really well, I didn't find anything particularly special about it. I often wore it layered with other mascara because I found it didn't have enough oomph as a standalone mascara.
CoverGirl Clump Crusher - TRASH
It breaks my heart to say that I won't be repurchasing this mascara. It was my holy grail mascara for quite some time. However, she has been overshadowed by her baby sister Clump Crusher Extensions. If you'd like to see a side by side comparison you can read my Clump Crusher Vs Clump Crusher Extensions Post. I will repurchase the Clump Crusher Extensions.
Whew! Got through it! That was a long empties post. I hope you enjoyed reading my empties post and enjoyed discovering what I am enjoying. Here's to discovering more wonderful products to love in 2014. So tell me, are you loving (or loathing) any of these products? I'd love to know.
